AC Milan have quashed speculation that coach Carlo Ancelotti could take charge of Real Madrid this summer.
Reports in Italy claimed Ancelotti met Real Madrid presidential candidate Florentino Perez in Geneva earlier this month with the Spanish giants expected to name a replacement for Juande Ramos, who took over in mid-season on a six-month deal following the sacking of Bernd Schuster.
"I am not worried," said AC Milan club administrator Adriano Galliani.
"Ancelotti is under contract with us.
"But I don't believe that happened because Florentino Perez continues to say he is a friend, a person who would never do such a thing without telling me."
Ancelotti, who is the longest-serving manager in Italy's top flight having arrived in 2001, has a contract with the Rossoneri until June 2010.
Perez is looking to return to the helm of Real Madrid after a turbulent campaign in which Ramon Calderon resigned from the post in the middle of the season.
