Galliani cools Scudetto talk
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has played down suggestions that the Rossoneri are now serious contenders for the Serie A title.
Milan's 5-1 rout of Torino coupled with a 1-1 draw between top two Internazionale and Juventus over the weekend left them ten points off the pace set by their city rivals.
"We have managed to recover a seven-point difference in just a few days," admitted Galliani.
"However, to think of the Scudetto would be crazy.
"There are still 18 points left in the season. Eight points will suffice for Inter but they will certainly get many more."

AC Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini would consider a summer move to Napoli, according to his agent.
The 31-year-old still has another year left on his current contract at the San Siro, but has been linked with a move away from the Rossneri in the coming months.

"However, Napoli are a great club and Massimo is a great player, so why not?"

Galliani Shrugs Off Kaka Rumours
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani insists Kaka is not for sale amid speculation he could join Real Madrid in the summer.
The Spanish media reported Florentino Perez is close to signing Kaka on a pre-contract agreement as part of his bid to return as Real president.
Galliani said: "Perez has not been elected president of Real and cannot therefore make any moves.
"In any case I'm certain that if one day Florentino wanted to sign Kaka he would come directly to me. Hence, I am calm.

Borriello eyes Milan impact
Injured striker Marco Borriello has vowed to put his injury nightmare behind him and prove a hit at AC Milan.
The 26-year-old has made just a handful of appearances this season since returning from a profitable year-long loan at Genoa.
Borriello is hoping to return from surgery on a thigh muscle problem before the end of the season and is determined to end a disappointing campaign on a high.
"I would like to end (the season) as a football player," he said.
"The operation was supposed to take around seven minutes, but as soon as they started cutting they found the unexpected.
"Let's just say that the problem was underestimated at the beginning but it's all over now.
"I just regret that I could not play football and was not able to confirm what I did at Genoa. But I will soon make up for lost time."

Ronaldinho Happy In Milan
Ronaldinho is happy at AC Milan and not interested in a move elsewhere, according to his brother and agent Roberto De Assis.
The Brazil international was linked with a move to Manchester City alongside team-mate Kaka in January, but in the end no concrete offer was made.
The former World Player of the Year only joined Milan from Barcelona in the summer but this has not stopped the rumours regarding his future circulating.
Despite the speculation De Assis insists his brother has no wish to seek a move away from the San Siro and after a frustrating start to his Rossoneri career, thanks to injury, he is enjoying his first season with the club.
"Dinho is calm in Milan. The injuries damaged his progress in the beginning but they are a long time ago now," he told ONA radio station in Barcelona.
"Now he is living in a new era, with another club, and Dinho is well and truly in the plans of Milan.
"It is not true that he is looking for a possible move away from Italy.
"The interest of Manchester City? Ronaldinho has a deal until June 2011 and it will be necessary to speak with Milan."
But De Assis refused to rule out a return to Barca, where he enjoyed five seasons prior to his move to Milan, in the future.
"Barcelona will always be a special city for us and Ronaldinho. It would make us happy to return to the club as we have many friends in the team," he added.

Dunga confirms Kaka will face Peru
Brazil coach Dunga has confirmed Kaka will be available for Wednesday's World Cup qualifier against Peru after recovering from a foot injury. The AC Milan man missed Sunday's 1-1 draw with Ecuador and stayed in Brazil to have intensive treatment."He can play," said Dunga. "I don't know how much time he will manage to play."Dunga will assess the condition of his players after the weekend's exertions at high altitude in Quito, the Ecuadorian capital which lies 2,800 metres above sea level."We have just arrived from Quito and I have to see the physical condition and the recovery of the players," he said."Playing there is not easy at all. Cannavaro Plays Down Milan Link
Real Madrid defender Fabio Cannavaro has brushed aside rumours linking him with a move to AC Milan at the end of the season.
The Italy captain, who is currently on international duty with the world champions, has yet to extend his contract with the Spanish giants which ends this summer.
There is also reported interest from Manchester City and Tottenham, but Cannavaro has put all thoughts of his next move to one side for now.
"I have a contract until June with Real Madrid," said Cannavaro. "I don't think it will be my last contract.
"The reports linking me with Milan are simply rumours, whoever wants me they have the number of my agent.
"But the future does not worry me."
Instead, the 35-year-old is focused on helping Madrid win the Primera Liga title and leading Italy to success this summer.
"I am now thinking about the end of the season and how we can catch Barcelona in the league," he said. "Then there is the Confederations Cup with Italy.
"For me, playing for the national team remains a privilege."

Lippi fires Azzurri warning
Italy coach Marcello Lippi admitted that his side had been far from their best in their 2-0 World Cup qualifying victory in Montenegro.
Goals from Andrea Pirlo and Giampaolo Pazzini gave the Azzurri three points in Podgorica and kept the holders on course for a place at the 2010 finals in South Africa.
Lippi told Rai Sport: "We did not play well in the first half, however we remained disciplined and we earned the benefits.
"In the second half though, we played with personality and character and we created many opportunities as a result.
"Now we have a two-point lead over Ireland, a team that we will play on Wednesday. We have a big chance to increase this advantage further."

Milan Deny Ancelotti To Madrid Report
AC Milan have quashed speculation that coach Carlo Ancelotti could take charge of Real Madrid this summer.
Reports in Italy claimed Ancelotti met Real Madrid presidential candidate Florentino Perez in Geneva earlier this month with the Spanish giants expected to name a replacement for Juande Ramos, who took over in mid-season on a six-month deal following the sacking of Bernd Schuster.
"I am not worried," said AC Milan club administrator Adriano Galliani.
"Ancelotti is under contract with us.
"But I don't believe that happened because Florentino Perez continues to say he is a friend, a person who would never do such a thing without telling me."
Ancelotti, who is the longest-serving manager in Italy's top flight having arrived in 2001, has a contract with the Rossoneri until June 2010.
Perez is looking to return to the helm of Real Madrid after a turbulent campaign in which Ramon Calderon resigned from the post in the middle of the season.

Wednesday Milan Musings
Watching the Champions League without AC Milan is kind of like watching the baseball playoffs sans the New York Yankees. The games are still going on but it is just plain missing something, and quite frankly I don’t care. But with all our Champions League history.
